Dear Change Makers

It is with earth-shaking sadness to share with you that our dear course director and facilitator, friend and colleague Claire Janisch, has passed away peacefully on Monday the 7th of Feb 2022, surrounded by family and friends, at her home in the Midlands, KwaZulu Natal, South Africa.

Claire brought Learn Biomimicry 🐋 team together, where we shared incredible experiences building a business based on Biomimicry Lifes Principles. Her vision lives within us, as we work to create an organisation that brings together the worlds best Biomimicry practitioners to mentor individuals through the practice of Biomimicry It is with profound honour and respect we carry this vision forward with the assistance of the #Biomimicry community.

Claire and She Charted a Path for Biomimicry 🧭

Claire walked her own path in life, a rare individual who co-created her very own profession and career. Along the way, she founded BiomimicrySA and co-founded Learn Biomimicry 🐋. Claire was a beacon of inspiration and touched the lives of thousands of us. She was often described as an ecological angel and Biomimicry Supernova. Her impact was undoubtedly global. Claire was instrumental in helping to establish Biomimicry across the world through advocating, practice and education. She will be forever remembered as a biomimicry pioneer.

When Great Trees Fall 🌳

We will forever miss our beloved Claire, as will all the amazing individuals you have inspired. Here is to you Claire, an ecological angel gone too soon.
